Purple Horror!

Recently Purple Corduroy was able to help connect some dots for our Creative Director, Steven “SLi Dawg” Chew’s brother, Robert who works for Sotheby’s - which was auctioning off a particularly rare poster for the 1932 adaptation of The Mummy, starring Boris Karloff, on Halloween.

Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett is a foremost collector of horror-movie posters and paraphernalia and Sotheby’s wanted to interview him for their auction about his personal collection and his love of The Mummy. All the stars aligned and the interview came about and ironically, Hammett showed up wearing Purple Corduroy pants, as you’ll see in the video. Read the full story at Rolling Stone.
